"Sood" is the traditional unit for measuring Makhana size. 6 Sood is larger (approx 20mm+) and considered premium quality.

We export "Phool Makhana" which is popped. It can be consumed directly or roasted with spices (value added).
What is the shelf life of Fox Nuts?
When stored in airtight packaging away from moisture, Phool Makhana has a shelf life of 12 to 18 months.

Makhana is very light. A 20ft container holds only ~4 MT, making freight per kg very expensive. A 40ft HC maximizes volume.
